Inspirations

Here you can check out some of the resources I like to use to influence or inspire my work. Usually things that are both entertaining and informative!

Passion, Action, Noble Intention, Creates Progress.

The vitality of captaining your own ship and being intentional about where you want to go cannot be understated. I find excitement in reading the latest news from the media world everyday in the Wall Street Journal. Being at the front of class and learning industry trends so that I may put into action the sharpest and freshest strategies from the ad world into my work is important. Though reading about acquisitions, new clients won (or lost), and why the tech industry lowered their advertising budget is important, it's not enough. The media & advertising field is as much about people and relationship as it is about budgets and shares. I strive to learn as much from interviews with CMOs, opinion pieces, and grainy youtube videos posted by retired executives as I do from the WSJ, HBR, or Adweek.

Life's Coming From You, Not At You.

Wall Street Journal:

Like a mug of hot chocolate after skiing, the WSJ Media section always delivers. Below are some of my favorite articles that I have saved over time.

Podcasts:

Is there a surplus of podcasts right now? Perhaps. However, here are two channels that I've found really valuable info from.

"Uncensored CMO" - Helps gain insights on a variety of industry topics such as advertising strategy, keys to a good brand build, and why you should go for gelato when attending Cannes Lions. Here are some episodes you should give a listen to:

"The Joel Klatt Show" - Though not a business podcast, Joel's show offers a holistic view of College Football, inclusive of TV deals, conference acquisitions, and revenue sharing.
